Bombing raids by RAF in Iraq and Syria have eliminated 1000 ISIS jihadists

The RAF has eliminated nearly 1000 ISIS jihadists as indicated by figures released by the Ministry of Defence in a Freedom of Information request. It seems since warplanes were deployed to Iraq in September 2014, the RAF has killed at least 996 extremists. The figure includes 22 jihadists killed in Syria following the go-ahead given by the parliament for strikes over the chaotic country last November and, in a single month, 152 militants were killed as they tried to mercilessly murder civilians and local forces.
This has been reported in dailymail.co.uk dated 30 April 2016.
The bombing raids carried out by RAF warplanes have targeted secret underground bunkers, jihadists hiding in palm trees, vehicles packed with explosives and deadly sniper and machine gun positions. Drone pilots who were stationed at RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire would spend hours spying on selected targets as they prepared for battle. Finally, they would complete the task by killing them with laser-guided missiles and 500lb Paveway bombs. It is believed that ever since additional number of jets were sent to the region last year, RAF pilots have trebled the rate at which they are eliminating the ISIS militants.

Airstrikes by Syrian warplanes target hospitals - at least 61 dead

There was a series of night airstrikes by Syrian warplanes in the city of Aleppo and one of these had targeted a hospital. It killed at least 27 people and the dead included children and six hospital staff, including a dentist and one of Syria's last pediatricians. There are doubts that Russian jets may have participated in the attacks.
This has been reported in foxnews.com dated 28 April 2016.
It is understood that some of the overnight strikes had struck the well-known al-Quds field hospital in the Sukkari district in Aleppo. This information is from Doctors Without Borders, opposition activists and rescue workers anbd they have indicated that 14 doctors and patients had died in the strikes.
In a separate blitz in Aleppo, 20 deaths are reported and, with this, the 24-hour death toll in the key city stood at 61 and the toll could rise.
The International Committee of the Red Cross has cautioned that Aleppo was on the brink of a humanitarian disaster as a result of the renewed fighting. Stocks of contingency food and medical aid could run out soon and an escalation in fighting would mean that they cannot be replenished.

Britain under threat from Syria and Iraq returned jihadists

A senior member of counter terrorism cell has revealed that a fifth of the 350 British jihadists who have returned to the UK are 'high threat' extremists and it is suspected that they could be plotting or wanting to carry out attacks on British soil or could be spreading radical propaganda.
This has been reported in dailymail.co.uk dated 21 April 2016.
As per estimates, nearly 800 British extremists are believed to have traveled to Syria and Iraq to join ISIS. A warning has been sounded by the national counter terrorism co-ordinator that destroying ISIS may not happen soon and it would pose a serious threat to national security for a 'long, long time'. It is also understood that they are trying to recruit new members because they plan further attacks on European soil.
ISIS has already claimed responsibility for the deadly attacks in Paris last November in which 130 people were killed, and also the Brussels attacks last month, which killed 32. They have been targeting Britain for months and there are fears that these terrorists are planning nuclear and chemical attacks in Britain.

ISIS struggling to survive - selling body organs of their own wounded soldiers to make money

Hemmed in from all quarters by airstrikes of the US and its allies, the ISIS is struggling to survive and, if reports are to be believed, they are running out of funds. Therefore, the have taken steps to sell organs of their own wounded fighters in the black market in Iraq. These soldiers are killed, their organs removed and sold to raise money.
This has been reported in dailymail.co.uk dated 20 April 2016.
These shocking claims originated from an Arabic-language al-Sabah newspaper and it quoted an unnamed source in Mosul. As per the report, doctors were threatened and forced to extract the body organs of a wounded ISIL militant. The jihadi group were allegedly removing vital organs from their wounded fighters and selling them abroad to raise much needed funds for their fighters dreadful salary. Even prisoners held by ISIS have also been forced to give blood to the jihadi group.
The news coming on the heels of the initial contingent of 170 U.S. soldiers entering Baghdad as advisers in June 2014. Right now, there are 3,000 American security workers involved in Iraq with Defense Secretary Ash Carter authorizing a total above 4,000. The figure could increase.
In the words of the Pentagon this is 'tightening the noose' on the militants. Of course, critics feel these are indecisive steps with limited chance of success.

ISIS hatches diabolical plan to massacre tourists on Mediterranean beaches

ISIS is hatching plans to carry out terror attacks across Europe this summer - they would be targeting holidaying tourists by posing as innocent ice cream and T-shirt sellers. This has been revealed by Italian intelligence chiefs. According to BND (Germany's equivalent of MI6), the beaches which are definitely targeted include resorts in southern France, the Costa del Sol in Spain and both coasts in Italy.
This has been reported in dailymail.co.uk dated 19 April 2016.
German media has indicated that ISIS is sending jihadists who would pretend to be selling refreshments before detonating suicide vests and bombs that would be buried under sun loungers at Spanish, French and Italian resorts. The intention is to bring bloodshed to holiday resorts.
The Italians came to know about the sinister terror plans through a credible source in Africa. The would-be killers had formed 'concrete plans' to pose as refugees serving tourists with drinks and snacks or hawking beach accessories and T-shirts. Their plans involve the use of automatic weapons on crowded waterfronts, suicide bombings and explosive devices buried in sand beneath sun loungers.
ISIS is squeezed financially as the international coalition ranged against it in the Middle East hampers its movement and military actions and it is, therefore, on the lookout of more soft targets in the west - their solution is the holiday bombing plans.

It was a boat carrying nearly 400 African migrants who were fleeing from Egypt and were headed for Italy. The boat capsized in the Mediterranean Sea and dozens of the migrants have met a watery grave. Most of them were fleeing from Somalia, Ethiopia and Eritrea and had been hoping to reach Italy.
This has been reported in dailymail.co.uk dated 18 April 2016.
It is understood from Somali media reports that rescue workers have managed to rescue only 29 passengers from the waters after the shocking incident and the remaining more than 400 migrants are believed to have drowned. More than 25,000 ISIS members have already been killed by Britain and its allies

In continuous strikes on ISIS positions, Britain and her allies have succeeded in eliminating more than 25,000 ISIS fighters. As a result of such repeated assaults, the campaign has halved the number of jihadi fighters in IS-controlled areas of Syria and Iraq within a period of just 20 months. It has also eliminated scores of the group's leaders and bombing raids and missile strikes by the RAF have played a crucial role in bringing this situation.
This has been reported in dailymail.co.uk dated 16 April 2016.
These revelations have been made by Colonel Steve Warren, the US military spokesman for the US-led global coalition against Islamic State. AS he has put it - 'much like a boxer, Daesh [Islamic State] has taken several hard blows to the mid-section. We believe the knees are getting weak, and the head is starting to drop, and they are beginning to feel the effect of the exceptional pressure we've placed on them over 20 months.'
The effect of air strikes in IS-held oilfields has been a slash of its cash flow by a third – that, in turn, led to a drastic 50 per cent pay cut for its fighters. That, coupled with the attack by 650 RAF strikes, the ISIS was forced to flee from 40 per cent of territory it once held in northern Iraq.
The IS extremists had seized swathes of eastern Syria in 2014 during its bloody civil war, before it swept into northern Iraq and proclaimed itself an Islamic caliphate. However, it now appears to be on the back foot. Col Warren indicated that a huge bombing campaign would soon be unleashed on its capital, Raqqa, to pave the way for a ground attack by Kurdish troops.

Five suspects arrested in London on suspicion of terror related offences

London police have arrested a total of five persons in connection with terror related activities. Four of them were arrested in Birmingham - they were three men aged 26, 40 and 59 and a 29-year-old woman. The fifth, a 26-year-old man, was held at Gatwick Airport on suspicion of terror offenses.
This has been reported in news.sky.com dated 15 April 2016.
It is understood that these are the first arrests in the UK that has links with the atrocities in Paris and Brussels. Assistant Chief Constable who leads on counter-terrorism for the West Midlands, has indicated that the investigation involved MI5 and Belgian and French authorities and that the arrests were pre-planned. There was "no risk to the public at any time". Moreover, there is no information that would tend to suggest that an attack was being planned in the UK.
The five suspects are being held in the West Midlands, where they are being questioned by specialist officers. The police are, simultaneously, searching several properties in Birmingham as a part of the investigation.

ISIS still holding 30 workers out of 300 kidnapped from cement factory in Dumeir

ISIS are still believed to be holding 30 cement factory workers captive as they continue to question the hostages over their religion and summarily execute those who 'wrongly' answer the questions. It may be recalled that the terrorist group had abducted 300 members of staff from Al-Badia Cement Company in Dumeir, near Damascus in Syria, when they carried out a surprise attack on government forces.
This has been reported in dailymail.co.uk dated 10 April 2016.
It seems the people, all of whom were guards, are still being help by the group, who are killing those from a minority Druze sect and asked others if they were Muslims. AS reported by SANA, 'employees and executives of the Al-Badia cement factory' were abducted by the jihadists after local residents reported that at least 250 workers at the plant had been missing since Monday. Further, the company had informed the industry ministry that it was unable to make contact with the kidnapped individuals.
The cement plant is located about 45-Km northeast of Damascus.
Mass abductions in Syria is not new and there have been earlier such instances in Syria during the country's devastating civil war which is now in its sixth year - the kidnappings were most often of religious minorities such as Christians.

Pyongyang dares Washington - says it can wage nuclear war on the United Stsates

North Korea has brought up the subject of nuclear warfare once again - it has said that it has successfully tested a new intercontinental ballistic rocket engine from Sohae Space Center in the country's northwest and, armed with it, it now has the ability to stage nuclear strikes on the United States.
This has been reported in foxnews.com dated 8 April 2016.
In case ground test of the engine has really been carried out, it would be seen as a major step forward for the nuclear weapons program of North Korea - it had conducted its fourth atomic test earlier this year. The North would still require to do much more work before it can actually strike hit the U.S. mainland with nuclear missiles.
South Korea says that North Korea does not, as yet, have a reliable intercontinental ballistic missile - arming it with a nuclear warhead is a far cry.
The United States feels that the test is nothing but North Korean provocations Its launch of a medium-range ballistic missile last month had violated U.N. Security Council resolutions that prohibit any ballistic activities by North Korea.
It was the North's first medium-range missile launch since early 2014.
Incidentally, North Korea has threatened pre-emptive nuclear strikes against Washington and Seoul. It had fired short-range missiles and artillery into the sea. This was in an apparent response to the ongoing U.S.-South Korean military drills apart from the tough U.N. sanctions that have been imposed on it over the recent nuclear test and a long-range rocket launch earlier this year.

Another Bangladeshi blogger killed in Dhaka because of his views on religion

Another Bangladeshi blogger fell to attacks by people who hated him for his views on religion. The group of men armed with machetes killed the secular activist at a crowded intersection in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. This has been confirmed by a police official and is the latest in a series of grisly attacks on intellectuals and bloggers who have written critically about Islamists on social media.
This has been reported in telegraphindia.com dated 8 April 2016.
According to witnesses, a group of clean-shaven men surrounded the 28-year-old law student at the state-run Jagannath University. He hailed from Sylhet, was a convinced atheist and used to express his views on Facebook. At the time of the attack, he was walking on the street and the time was around 8.30pm. The attackers slashed his head and then shot him when he fell to the ground.
The location was Wari, the area of Old Dhaka where the killing took place.
This stabbing was similar to a series of earlier attacks on bloggers that had been carried out last year, often in crowded public places. The leader of al-Qaida's branch in the Indian subcontinent had released a video taking credit for two of the killings in which the victims were labeled as "blasphemers". In October there were fatal attacks on two men who had published the works of atheist writers.

One ISIS suicide bomber of Brussels attack was a cleaner at the European Parliament

It has now been revealed that one of the Islamic State suicide bombers who carried out the suicide attack in Brussels last month and killed 32 people had worked as a cleaner at the European Parliament. The attacks at Brussels Airport and on the Metro left 32 dead and another 270 wounded. ISIS has accepted responsibility for the attacks.
This has been reported in dailymail.co.uk dated 7 April 2016.
There is no official confirmation but one of the airport suitcase bombers involved in the attacks worked there and was a Belgian. It is also revealed that at least 50 Islamic State supporters are working there as baggage handlers, cleaners and catering staff.
An official from the European Union institution has indicated that for a month in both 2009 and 2010, one of the suicide bombers worked as a cleaner in the parliament - he was engaged as a student summer job and had been employed through a cleaning company that was contracted by the European Parliament at the time. The individual did not have a criminal record when he was engaged and the firm had submitted proof of this to the parliament as required under the terms of their contract.

Florida hunters bag a 15-foot 800-pound massive alligator

Florida hunters managed to bag a 15-foot, 800-pound alligator. The hunters were the owner of Outwest Farms in Okeechobee, and a hunting guide - they came across the huge reptile in one their cattle ponds while on a guided hunt and believed that it used to feast on the farm's cattle. The discovery of cattle in the water confirmed that it had indeed been attacking the livestock as they came to drink.
This has been reported in foxnews.com dated 6 April 2016.
The hunters shot the gator as it surfaced about 20 feet in front of them and it was so big that they had to make use of a farm tractor to pull it out of the water. It is hard to believe that something of this size exists in the wild. Incidentally, Outwest Farms has been guiding hunts for alligators, wild boar, and turkey for 18 years and the owner admits that he has been hunting all his life.
The largest alligator they had taken before their latest hunt was just over 14 feet long.
The hinters plan to donate the gator's meat to charity and have the alligator taxidermied for future display at their hunting shows and expos.

Strange things seem to be happening in North Korea on the nuclear front

Satellite images captured by a US website that monitors sensitive sites in North Korea would tend to suggest that "significant activity" is taking place at a North Korean laboratory that could separate plutonium for nuclear weapons. The website has indicated that in the course of the past five weeks exhaust plumes have been observed two or three times at the radiochemical laboratory complex at Yongbyon.
This is reported in news.sky.com dated 5 April 2016.
An obvious suggestion is that the buildings are being heated, but it is not clear as to why. In the opinion of satellite imagery specialists, the plumes suggest that the operators of the reprocessing facility are heating their buildings. An inference can be drawn that some significant activity is being undertaken, or will be in the near future. It could be additional separation of plutonium for nuclear weapons but that is no clear.
The lab is located in the place where North Korea separates weapons-grade plutonium from nuclear reactor waste. These activities come as China has imposed restrictions on imports of coal from North Korea and exports of jet fuel to Pyongyang - the move is in line with current United Nations sanctions on the secretive state.
North Korea had announced its intention to restart nuclear facilities in 2013. And, in January, it conducted its latest nuclear test explosion, followed within weeks by a long-range rocket launch.
US intelligence feels that North Korea could begin recovering material for nuclear weapons "within a matter of weeks to months" and, tensions on the peninsula have been fueled by the annual South Korea-US military drills. North Korea has threatened to retaliate with nuclear strikes on Seoul and Washington.

Morocco warns that ISIS could unleash chemical warfare on Europe

Morocco has cautioned Europe that ISIS terrorists have tried to create chemical weapons abroad and could launch attacks on Europe. This has been indicated by Morocco's head of counter terrorism. As per his claims, his unit has already nullified 25 ISIS plots in his country in the past year alone - one of these, in February, involved mustard gas.
This has been reported in dailymail.co.uk dated 4 April 2016.
It seems the ISIS cell had smuggled in weapons from nearby Libya and had worked out planning of chemical attacks on four cities apart from a suicide bomber strike. The materials used in the plot were common items readily available in shops all over Britain, and even Europe.
In the opinion of the team of Moroccan Bureau Central d'Investigations Judiciares, the ISIS group that had been apprehended in February was trying to create mustard gas.
Incidentally, U.S. Special Forces had captured the chemical weapons chief of ISIS and he admitted that the group harbored plans of using mustard gas in future attacks. The capture of this operative was confirmed by an American official and he has admitted that interrogation had yielded 'good things'. He was captured by special forces deployed by the Pentagon ans is, at present, detained in Iraq.
ISIL has used chemical weapons on multiple occasions in Iraq and Syria and sources close to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons has confirmed that mustard gas had been used in fighting in August in northern Iraq. Mustard gas had also been used in August 21 attack in Marea in Syria - of course, the perpetrator of the attacks is not named.
Mustard gas or 'sulfur mustard' can lead to respiratory distress, momentary blindness and painful blisters and had first been used by Germany in Belgium in 1917 and was banned by the UN in 1993.

Mass grave with 40 bodies discovered in Palmyra - 23 of them were women and children

Syrian forces have retaken Palmyra, located 155 miles east of Damascus, from the ISIS who had occupied it over 10 months earlier and Syrian engineering teams and popular defense groups have discovered a mass grave of 40 people in a neighborhood in the newly recaptured ancient city of Palmyra.
This has been reported in foxnews.com dated 3 April 2016.
The mass grave contains remains of about 40 people, 23 of them women and children - some of the bodies were beheaded and bore signs of torture. SANA news agency have indicated that they were killed by Islamic State militants. After tasking over the town, Syrian army experts have detonated hundreds of mines that were planted by the Islamic State before they were forced out of Palmyra.
Palmyra is a UNESCO Heritage site and an archaeological gem that had attracted tens of thousands of tourists every year before the Islamic State captured the city and destroyed most of its Christian artifacts. Some parts of the site, including the Roman-era grand colonnades and amphitheater appear to have been spared but the damage every else was very much visible.
Syrian officers have dismantled more than 3,000 mines so far and have also reported that there are booby traps everywhere - trees, doors, and even animals. Russian sappers have arrived in Syria to help the Syrian army clear mines in and around the town.

Nuclear threat from ISIS is very real - Obama and Cameron play imaginary war games

The nuclear threat from ISIS is a very real scenario because security officials are apprehensive that the Islamic State is plotting to use drones to spray deadly nuclear waste over British cities. Since the threat is considered to be real enough, David Cameron and Barack Obama held a ‘war game’ session on how to respond to such an attack that could kill thousands and leave the target town or city uninhabitable for years.
This has been reported in dailymail.co.uk dated 1 April 2016.
It is common knowledge that drones can be purchased quite easily on websites such as Amazon and there was already evidence of IS trying to use them.
Prime Minister David Cameron cautioned that the terrorists would want to kill as many people as they possibly could, using whatever materials they can get their hands on. Speaking before the war-games dubbed as a ‘doomsday scenario’, The Prime Minister added that many summits are about dealing with things that have already gone wrong and that we are trying to put right. But, this Nuclear Summit is about something we are trying to prevent.
At a nuclear terror summit in Washington, world leaders had conducted a planning session, complete with TV footage of fictitious news broadcasts, to prepare for a drone attack. In the scenario, terrorists managed to steal nuclear material from a health facility and smuggle it into Britain and other Western countries. Some was detected by the intelligence agencies but other consignments got through.
The toxic material was apparently procured by jihadists on the highly encrypted ‘dark web’ after being stolen from the health site. Subsequently, drones – similar to those used to dust crops – were used to spread the lethal material. The gravity of the situation can be gauged from the fact that American commando units have been trained to seize and disable nuclear or radioactive bombs.
