A man from California cooked his ex-girlfriend’s pet Pomeranian and fed it to her


Police have arrested 34-year-old Ryan Watenpaugh of California after he allegedly cooked his girlfriend's Pomeranian dog and fed it to her for dinner news.sky.com.
The perpetrator of this sordid crime has been charged with animal cruelty, domestic violence, stalking and false imprisonment.
As per the version of his ex-girlfriend, he repeatedly struck her while they were dating and after one such assault, she left her apartment and returned to find her Pomeranian dog - named Bear - was missing.
It seems, later, the couple reconciled briefly last week when Watenpaugh cooked the woman a meal – it was her pet Pomeranian. He even sent her a text message asking how her dog had tasted. He has, reportedly, admitted to leaving paws of the dog at her doorstep but denies having killed it.
Incidentally, dog meat is rarely consumed in the West, but is considered to be a delicacy in many Asian cultures including China, South Korea, North Korea, the Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand.
