#TexasCounty #handgun #Summersville It was murder most foul in Texas County, Missouri, when 36-year-old Joseph Aldridge came home to discover his 74-year-old mother lying dead on the couch and went on a shooting spree to kill seven persons before shooting himself as reported in dailymail.co.uk dated 28 February 2015.
The persons he killed were four of his relatives and three neighbors. It seems he had opened fire in four separate locations after finding his mother dead – she had been ill and died in her home in Texas County, Missouri. Apparently, her death was due to natural causes and she had been dead for more than 24-hours.
Texas County has a population of about 25,000 and is described as a 'close knit' community.
It seems Joseph Aldridge armed himself with a handgun and shot dead two male cousins, their wives, and three neighbors before ending his life by shooting himself in his pickup truck on the outskirts of Summersville, Missouri. Preliminary investigation appears to suggest that he had been feuding with his cousins for years and the shooter was a cousin to the male victims.
