When in Chennai, be careful of who sits beside you - ‘she’ could be a ‘he’

#crossdresser #chennai A 23-year-old man in Chennai learnt the hard way that appearances can be deceptive and that a woman dressed in a nighty turned out to be a man who stole his wallet as reported in timesofindia.indiatimes.com dated 15 February 2015. The victim was waiting at a bus stop in the Thousand Lights and had not given attention to the 'woman' seated beside him until he found his wallet missing and the 'woman' walking away.
The man raised an alarm and the fleeing offender was caught and it turned out that ‘she’ was, in fact, a 45-year-old cross dresser who would change his looks after every strike to evade police arrest. He is now cooling his heels in prison.
The facts of the case are – it was around 11.30pm and the victim, who worked in a cellphone shop at a mall, was at the bus stop waiting for his bus when a woman in a green nighty, with her face masked, came and took the seat beside him. The cross dresser had been loitering in the area when he noticed the victim seated alone and decided to target him.
The victim apparently dozed off and suddenly felt the woman falling on him. He believed that she was trying to lure him but decided to ignore her. Suddenly, he realized that his wallet was gone and the ‘woman’ was slinking away. He raised an alarm and a police patrol that was fortunately nearby checking vehicles intercepted the ‘woman’. When the police pulled down her mask, they saw behind it a bearded man and, he is a habitual offender.
