Fire in shopping mall in Russia kills 30, injures another 40


#kazan #russia #shoppingmall #moscow Fire in a shopping mall in the city of Kazan, located roughly 450-Km from Moscow, left the mall destroyed and five people are confirmed dead while 25 more are missing and presumed to be dead as reported in dailymail.co.uk dated 12 March 2015.
The death toll at the Admiral Centre is based on reports from relatives and workers in the shopping center. Apart from the deaths, at least forty people were injured in the blaze. The cause of the fire has yet to be ascertained but it is presumed that the blaze began in a cafe that was situated next to the shopping center.
As per the officials, the 43,000-square-foot area has been totally destroyed and razed to the ground. Riot police had to be deployed to stop members of the public entering the building.
