Police foil al-Qaeda terror plot in Britain – hold three men

Masked police officers in plain clothes took into custody a man who was suspected to be plotting a domestic Al Qaeda-inspired terror strike. The arrest happened at medical supplies distributor Alliance Healthcare in Letchworth, Hertfordshire. The man is believed to have worked there as a driver.
This has been reported in dailymail.co.uk dated 15 July 2015.
Two other men, aged in their 20s and 30s, and believed to be his associates were arrested in simultaneous operations at separate homes in Luton, which is 13 miles away.
Incidentally, an ex-officer worker turned senior ISIS recruiter Abu Rahin Aziz, who was from Luton, was killed in Syria by a drone on July 4 – this has given rise to fears that his supporters may launch a revenge attack on British soil.
As revealed by security sources, police were forced to act because of a ‘fairly advanced’ suspected Islamist conspiracy that was targeting an unknown British target.
