Pak had planned Mumbai 26/11 attacks admits former Pakistani officer

It is a major embarrassment for the government of Pakistan because, a high ranking Pakistani official has revealed the extent of involvement of Pakistan in the terror attack in Mumbai on 26/11 when 164 persons, Indian and foreign, were killed by a gang of terrorists.
These revelations have been made by former Director General of Pakistan's Federal Investigating Agency Tariq Khosa. As per his claims, convict Ajmal Kasab (since hanged) was a Pakistan national and Lashkar-e-Toiba trained all the 10 terrorists in camps in Thatta, Sindh.
This has been reported in ibnlive.com dated 4 August 2015.
His revelations are as follows –
Ajmal Kasab was a Pakistani national.
The LeT terrorists were imparted training near Thatta, Sindh and launched by sea from there.
The fishing trawler used by the terrorists for hijacking an Indian trawler in which they sailed to Mumbai, was brought back to harbor, then painted and concealed.
The engine of the dinghy abandoned by the terrorists near Mumbai harbor contained a patent number through which the investigators traced its import from Japan to Lahore and then to a Karachi sports shop from where a LeT-linked militant purchased it along with the dinghy.
The operations room in Karachi, from where the operation was directed, was also identified and secured by the investigators. The communications through Voice over Internet Protocol were unearthed.
The alleged commander and his deputies were identified and arrested.
A couple of foreign-based financiers and facilitators were arrested and brought to face trial.
In view of these revelations, the government of Pakistan would have to explain why it has maintained the stand that its nationals were not involved in the 26/11 terror attack on Mumbai.

12 Pakistani convicts hanged on same day in different prisons

#deathrow #peshawarschoolattack #taliban Subsequent to the lifting of ban on hangings, Pakistan has hanged 12 convicts in various prisons across the country – it was the largest number of people executed on the same day after the country overturned a ban on executions. This has been reported in bbc.com dated 17 March 2015.
It has been reported by Pakistan's Dawn newspaper that the latest executions took place in Multan, Karachi, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala and Jhang.
It has been informed by the interior ministry that the men were terrorists, murderers or guilty of "heinous crimes". So far, at least 27 convicts have been executed since the moratorium of hanging was lifted. Most of them were militants. As per estimates, there are over 8,000 Pakistanis on death row.
It may be recalled that a moratorium on hangings was lifted for terror-related crimes because of the attack in a school in Peshawar after a Taliban attack in December. Over 150 people, mostly children, lost their lives in the attack.
The scope of capital punishment policy has been widened to include all prisoners on death row whose appeals had been rejected.
