Apart from the four women killed, there was one man who suffered life-threatening injuries.
This has been reported in news.sky.com dated 24 September 2016.
The victims were found in the makeup section of a Macy's department store and, as indicated by a Washington State Patrol trooper, the gunman had used a "rifle-type weapon".
The Cascade Mall, where the incident occurred, is an enclosed shopping center that opened in 1990. It features J.C. Penney, TJ Maxx, and Macy's stores, among other stores, apart from restaurants and a cinema.
This shooting comes less than a week after a man stabbed nine people at a mall in central Minnesota before being shot dead. The FBI is of the opinion that it was a potential act of terrorism and is investigating accordingly.
