In another of incident of gun violence in a school, a student of University of Virginia is suspected of shooting down three of the school's football players. The authorities have identified the suspect as well as the victims. UVA President Jim Ryan announced this during a press conference. The shooting incident injured two other students and one of them is in critical condition. It happened late Sunday night near a campus-parking garage on a bus "full of students." They were returning from a play in Washington, D.C. "This is a sad, shocking and tragic day for our UVA community," Ryan told reporters. Police took the 22-year-old suspect into custody from Henrico County, Virginia and charged him with three counts of second-degree murder and three counts of using a handgun in the commission of a felony. UVA shooting: 3 football players killed, 2 students wounded and suspect in custody. It seems the suspect was involved in a criminal incident involving a concealed weapon violation outside Charlottesville in February 2021.
The suspect was listed as a member of the UVA football team in 2018, when he was a freshman. He had not been on the football team for over a year. First-year head football coach Tony Elliott said the victims "were all good kids" and that he would talk more about them "when the time is right." Warnings were given to students and staff to shelter in place late Sunday night after the shooting. It was later lifted. Elected leaders of Virginia reacted to the shooting on social media. Gov. Glenn Youngkin went to Twitter and said - "This morning, Suzanne and I are praying for the UVA community." Suzanne Youngkin was his wife. Sen. Tim Kaine added in a tweet - "Heartbroken to hear of another Virginia community devastated by gun violence. Praying for the UVA community and closely monitoring the situation."

It is not safe in Space – ISS escapes colliding with a 1993 Kosmos satellite
This wreckage had collided with another satellite five years ago.
Mission Control has confirmed that this sidestep action would not affect the planned launch of supplies by a commercial company namely Orbital Sciences Corp's rocket launch from Wallops Island, Virginia.
This activity had to be abandoned because a boat had ventured into a restricted zone within 10 minutes of take-off. Incidentally, the unmanned Cygnus capsule is carrying nearly 2,200-Kg of supplies and materials for space experiments and the research cargo bound for the ISS has in its inventory assorted materials to investigate situations like how to stop headaches in space, measure the rate of pea-shoot growth, and how milk spoils in micro-gravity.

US launches unmanned patrol crafts for the US Navy
Demonstration of the autonomous swarm boat technology was given by the Office of Naval Research on the James River near Fort Eustis in Virginia.
The demonstration involved a simulated transit through a strait, similar to the routine passage of US warships through the Strait of Hormuz in the Gulf.
The demonstrations involved 13 small unmanned patrol boats that were escorting a high-value navy ship. Subsequently, eight of the self-guided vessels broke off and swarmed around a threat in the form of a ship that was playing the role of an enemy vessel.
These self-guided unmanned patrol boats can leave warships that they are protecting and proceed to attack potential threats on the water – these could join the US Navy's fleet within a year. US defense officials have indicated that the addition of the new technology could help stop attacks like the deadly 2000 bombing of the USS Cole off Yemen.
