Ohio man had planned to shoot President Barack Obama in the head

#pipebombs #ISIS #FBI #USCapitol #Ohio 20-year-old Christopher Cornell of Ohio has admitted that if he had not been arrested by FBI agents in January, he would have gone ahead and shot President Barack Obama in the head. He would also have carried out an alleged plot to plant pipe bombs on the Capitol and at the Israeli Embassy.
He has sympathies with the Islamic State militants and appeared to be nonchalant about the whole thing – that is what he has told in a TV interview from his prison cell over the telephone. This has been reported in zeenews.india.com dated 7 March 2015.
He was arrested and is being held without bail after he researched how to make pipe bombs, purchased a rifle and ammunition and made plans to travel to Washington to carry out the plot. This has been revealed in a court testimony from an informant of FBI.
The charges against him are of attempted murder of government officials, possession of a firearm to commit a crime and solicitation to commit a violent crime.
In the interview he has said that he would have released more bullets on the Senate and the House of Representative members, and also attacked the Israeli Embassy and various other buildings full of kafir.
Kafir is the name given by Muslims to an infidel.
His logic was that the kafirs want to wage war against us Muslims and shed their blood. He has gone on to say that he gets his orders from his brothers overseas in Syria and Iraq. They had apparently asked him to carry out jihad in the West.

The US tries to corner the IS militants – gets a teen girl to turn approver

19-year-old Shannon Maureen Conley was arrested at Denver airport on April 8 as she prepared to board a flight for Istanbul, via Frankfurt nzherald.co.nz. She was preparing to fly to Turkey to join a jihadist whom she had agreed to marry, and who was fighting in Syria.
Conley was initially charged with conspiracy to provide material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization. If convicted, she had faced up to five years in jail or a $250,000 fine, or both. But, she has now turned approver and pleaded guilty to trying to help IS, in a deal with prosecutors requiring her to tell all she knows about the jihadist network in Syria and Iraq.
The prosecutors announced a plea deal in which she admitted conspiracy to provide material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization and, in exchange, the prosecutors agreed not to charge her with any other criminal activity.
She has also agreed to "cooperate and debrief (investigators) completely and truthfully... concerning her knowledge of other individuals involved in providing or attempting to provide material support... to any terrorist organization." She was planning to join the Islamic State fighter, a 32-year-old Tunisian identified only as "Y.M." according to court documents. A certified nurse aide, she had allegedly agreed to get engaged to him and join him in Syria, where she offered to provide any help she could either as a nurse or in any other capacity.
In preparation for her mission, Shannon Conley had joined up with the US Army Explorers (USAE) last September to be trained in.
Hopefully, she would be able to provide the investigators with useful information that could put a stop to the murderous designs of the Islamic State militants.
