The individual who would be abducted from the public would be draped in an Islamic State flag and beheaded on camera. The suspect, a 22-year-old Sydney man, has been arrested in the nation's largest counter-terrorism operation – the conspiracy had been hatched by the senior most Islamist militant of Australia.
Apparently, the police intercepted a phone call two days earlier between the arrested Omarjan Azari and Mohammad Ali Baryalei – this individual has allegedly recruited half of the 60 Australians fighting in the Middle East.
The instruction to Azari was to carry out an attack by selecting a person at random and behead him (or her). So far, he is the only person charged with a conspiracy to prepare a terrorist attack on Australian soil and police have arrested a total of 15 people so far.
Mohammad Ali Baryalei had become a senior Islamic State militant, and he worked as a bouncer in Sydney's Kings Cross nightclub district. He had also played a bit part in the TV series Underbelly.
Prime Minister Tony Abbott has confirmed about this anti-terror operation – as per his information, a senior Australian ISIL member had asked supporters in Australia to carry out "demonstration killings".
