TV news anchor of Alaska quits the show on-air to pursue the cause of legalizing marijuana

Charlene Ebge AKA Charlo Greene, the Alaska marijuana club owner and KTVA news anchor-turned-activist, quit her job on-air and has released a video detailing her reasoning behind the bold move dailymail.co.uk. In the video, the Anchorage reporter has lashed out at marijuana 'prohibitionists' who seek to restrict access to the drug.
This video is believed to be a part of her campaign toward legalization of marijuana in Alaska and, eventually all across America.
Her cannabis club is called Alaska Cannabis Club and she is moving on to dedicate herself full time to making sure that Alaska's upcoming marijuana ballot measure that would regulate marijuana will pass. She has also begun a fundraising activity to help her in her mission.
The vote would be held on November 4 when Alaska voters will decide on whether to legalize recreational use of marijuana in the state in a move similar to that which has already occurred in Colorado and Washington.
Her target is $5,000, which she intends to put toward re-educating voters on the dangers, or lack thereof, of marijuana use. In her opinion, those who smoke marijuana are responsible, contributing members to society. Incidentally, within a day, Greene has raised over $3,700—or 74 percent of her goal and there are still 15 days to go.
