Five teenage girls commit group suicide in a Bengal village

#teenagegirls #suicide A strange case has come to light about a group-suicide of five teenage girls in a village in Bengal – this has been reported in thehindu.com dated 25 February 2015. There we six girls in the group and one of them is in hospital for her life.
No one knows exactly why they committed this ghastly act and, while one theory is that the marriage of one of the girls had been fixed against her wish and, since they were close friends, they felt that they could not bear to live without her.
The eldest of the girls was 17 and the youngest was only 13 and, even though they had family relationships and were from the same Bhuniya community. These people are one of the poorest communities of Bengal and the reason of their suicide remains a mystery.
